Constitution Class

Preserving American Liberty is happy to announce that our much anticipated Constitution Class has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 13 at the Hyatt Crown Center! Class beings at 10:00AM sharp and will conclude at approximately 1:00PM. Professor Kris Kobach, who currently teaches Constitutional law at UMKC and is a popular radio host, will be conducting our class. You can catch Kris’s show Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:00PM on KCMO 710 Radio.

Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said, “Someone may steal from it at night.”

So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job.

Then Congress said, “How does the watchman do his job without instruction?” So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies.

Then Congress said, “How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?” So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One to do the studies and one to write the reports.

Then Congress said, “How are these people going to get paid?” So They created the following positions, a time keeper, and a payroll officer, then hired two people.

Then Congress said, “Who will be accountable for all of these people?”

So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary.

Then Congress said, “We have had this command in operation for one Year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost.”

So they laid off the night watchman.

NOW slowly..

Let it sink in.

Quietly, we go like sheep to slaughter.

Does anybody remember the reason given for the establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY ….. During the Carter Administration?

Anybody?

Anything?

No?

Didn’t think so!

Bottom line. We’ve spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency ….

the reason for which not one person who reads this can remember!

It was very simple … and at the time, everybody thought it very appropriate.

The Department of Energy was instituted on 8-04-1977. TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN OIL.

Hey, pretty efficient, huh???

AND NOW, IT’S 2009 — 32 YEARS LATER — AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS “NECESSARY” DEPARTMENT IS AT $24.2 BILLION A YEAR. THEY HAVE 16,000 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES AND APPROXIMATELY 100,000 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES; AND LOOK AT THE JOB THEY HAVE DONE! THIS IS WHERE YOU SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY, “WHAT WAS I THINKING?”

Ah, yes — good ole bureaucracy.

AND, NOW, WE ARE GOING TO TURN THE BANKING SYSTEM, HEALTH CARE AND THE AUTO INDUSTRY OVER TO THE SAME GOVERNMENT?

restoring the American Republic one piece at a time… During the summer We tea partied, protested, burned up the telephone lines, and attended town halls trying to get the attention of our elected representatives in DC. Throughout it all The media degraded us, berated us, lied about us or just flat out ignored us. That’s about to change… On Saturday, October 17 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM we will be letting those in the media know how we feel about what they are doing… their complicity, their bias, and their abysmal reporting. A Nationwide Effort In over 115 cities across this great land protests will be held outside media outlets. All major networks will be included. Obviously, the “mainstream” media are hard of hearing and seeing. About 2 million mad-as-hell taxpayers assembling in Washington, D.C. for the largest (and most well-behaved and respectful) protest ever did not make it onto their radar screens (or our TV screens). Seems they need our help We cannot easily repeat what happened in D.C. on 9/12, but here’s your chance to be part of Operation: “Can You Hear Us Now?” Join us Saturday Oct. 17, 2009 at the local NBC affiliate: KSHB – NBC 41 4720 Oak Street Kansas City, MO 4-7PM See the protest advertisement video for Kansas City! This location has been chosen due to NBC’s affiliation with CNBC, MSNBC and GE. This event has been organized by your local KC Metro 9/12 Project and PAL. Action Plan A pre-protest plan of action in the days leading up to Saturday can be found here. It involves calling, faxing & emailing media outlets. The following is what I sent today to all my family & friends.  Make sure everyone is informed:

Get involved, call Congress, go to congressional forums, participate in tea parties.

Health Care is just one of many things our government is pushing so they will have more and more control of our lives and our money. Obama and company are destroying our economy, putting more and more people out of work, hoping to make people more dependent on Government.  We are losing our freedom every day.  Stay alert because they are throwing everything at us, keeping us distracted, calling us the MOB because we don’t agree with their takeover.

I want my children and your children to have the same opportunities in life that I and my parents had.

In regard to health care, please don’t be fooled by the ol “competition” argument. Private business cannot compete with government.  Econ 101. Plus the Obama administration has clearly indicated this is just the first step to get to ‘Universal Health Care’.  Then it is all about cost benefit analysis.  The old, the sick, those needing treatment deemed too expensive; they will be denied treatment.  The old will be given pain pills to “die with dignity”.  Obama said as much.

Yes, health care needs to be looked at, just not taken over by the federal government.

I shutter to think what would happen to my parents, my in-laws under Universal health care.  They would not treat my Mom and Dad, maybe not my husband based on his past health issues, they would be left to die. Very scary stuff when the government decides who gets and who doesn’t.  Plus Congress and Prez are excluding themselves from the bill.  Good enough for us not for them.

The Health Care Bill is the biggest attempt ever to take our freedom.  We must stand strong, make sure our representatives know who they work for, and in 2010 we must clean house.

Just a quick review of what this President and Democratic Congress along with the RINOs (republicans in name only) have done:
$787billion stimulus that paid off their supporters
Passed a $400billion budget bill
House voted to pass Cap & Trade expected to raise utilities by 400%
Health Care Bill
Has already increased the deficit by $1 trillion
